Knarr took over for Rich Mannello, who was the head coach since football was reinstated at King's in 1993. Duke Greco is in his sixth season at Delaware Valley University, having posted a 52-10 record during his tenure. Greco is an alum of DelVal, and has led the program to  three NCAA appearances as well as a trip to the NCAA Quarterfinals in 2017.

Looking at DelVal: The Aggies, ranked No. 13 in both the AFCA and the D3football.com Top 25 Polls, come in on a three-game win streak having drubbed Lycoming College last weekend 41-7. Delaware Valley relies on its dominant defensive unit to set the tone, as DelVal is allowing a league-low 13 points per game. The Aggies also lead the conference in points per game with 35.8, while surrendering just 206.2 yards per game. Delaware Valley is rushing for 166.2 yards per game, second in the MAC. DVU has won 23 consecutive MAC games, and also has not lost at home in MAC play since September 24, 2016, a span of 12 contests.

Preseason Poll: The Monarchs were picked to finish tied for sixth this season with crosstown rival Wilkes University. Reigning champ Delaware Valley University was the favorite among the coaches to repeat, while Stevenson was picked second. Lycoming, Widener and Misericordia rounded out the top five.

Looking Fresh: King's will be in red pants with white jerseys and gold helmets Saturday afternoon in Doylestown.

Single Digit Tough:  The Monarchs award single digits based on merit, and recently named two more as Single Digit players. Junior Gabe Boccella was honored with the accolade and will wear #8, while lineman Joe Damiano also earned the honor. Due to NCAA regulations, linemen can not wear single digits, but Damiano will wear a single digit in practice. With those two, King's now has seven Single Digit Tough players: Sallavanti (1), Horn (2), Downes (3), McCall (4), Shelton (5), Boccella (8), Damiano (66), Swartz (67).

Captains This Weekend: The Monarchs will send out seniors Peter Swartz and Jordan Downes, along with juniors Mando Sallavanti and Myles Shelton for the coin toss at Delaware Valley.
