Keim, Harrington Lead Women's Soccer to Conference Win

The first goal came in the 39th minute as sophomore Kara Keim scored her second goal of the season off a rebound of her own shot to give the Monarchs the first half lead, 1-0, over the Aggies. Then in the second half, junior Emily Harrington connected for her sixth goal of the season on a breakaway in the 62nd minute to post the final tally, 2-0.

Senior Sophia Sacknievich also had a great opportunity that just missed in the 78th minute, but the Aggie goalie just got a hand on it in the bottom left corner of the net to prevent the late goal.

As a team, the Monarchs held the advantage in shots (8-6), shots on goal (6-4), and corners (1-0). Sophomore Tara Bender was excellent in goal again, posting her third shutout of the season, totaling four saves on six shots faced.
