MADISON, NJ (September 18, 2021) -- The King's College field hockey team surrendered a late goal Saturday at Drew University, falling to the Rangers 3-2 in non-conference play from Ranger Stadium in Madison, NJ.

Hannah Chocallo scored late in the opening quarter off a pass from junior
Sara Whitesell 12:24 into the contest to make it 1-0 King's.
The Rangers (2-4) evened the score at one at 21:47 of the game, as Alexa Thomas scored her fifth of the season with a shot off a deflection on the goal line. Minutes later, Janelle Arch scored her first of the season for the hosts to make it 2-1 going into intermission.

Jessie Smalley scored off a shot from the middle of the circle through traffic with help from sophomore
Ashley Thalassinos 4:55 into the second half to tie the game. With just under nine minutes to play in action, Lauren Cagliostro tipped in a cross from Thomas to lift the Rangers to the victory.
King's had two great chances later in the game by Smalley's chance went just wide right. Both teams finished with 13 shots on the day, while King's held a decided 7-2 edge on penalty corners. Sophomore keeper
Ellie Glatz finished with nine saves, while Olyvia Jackson had five stops for the Rangers.
The Monarchs will return to play Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. in McCarthy Stadium, hosting Keystone College in non-conference play.
