2022 King's College Softball Schedule

WILKES-BARRE, PA (January 20, 2022) -- With the start of the spring semester just four days away, the King's College athletic department continues the release of its spring athletics schedules. On Thursday afternoon, King's Athletics and head coach Lisa Gigliello release the 2022 King's College softball schedule.

The Monarchs are slated to face 20 opponents in its 2022 season as they start their schedule with eight games in the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic in North Myrtle Beach, SC. King's will then play host to six doubleheaders at the Softball Field at Robert L. Betzler Athletic Complex, including four Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) matchups.

King's will open the season as they are set to play eight games in four days from March 6 to March 9 in South Carolina. The Monarchs will return north for their home opener in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. on March 13 against Middlebury College before their MAC Freedom opener on Saturday, March 19 at Arcadia University.

The month of March continues with a non-conference doubleheader at home against Gwynedd Mercy (March 24) and a road non-conference matchup with Scranton (March 28). The Monarchs have one additional MAC Freedom matchup in March as they host FDU-Florham on March 26.

April is packed with quality matchups for the Monarchs as they open with a road MAC Freedom contest at Stevens (April 2) before hitting the road for consecutive trips to Keystone (April 4) and Susquehanna (April 6). King's returns home for their cross-town rivalry game with Wilkes (April 9) before finishing their non-conference schedule on the road at Lebanon Valley (April 12).

The remainder of the season will see the Monarchs finish their MAC Freedom regular season schedule on the road at Lycoming (April 20) and Misericordia (April 27) and at home aginast DeSales (April 23) and Delaware Valley (April 30).

King's is set to host the 2022 MAC Freedom Softball Championships with the opening round set for May 5. The MAC Freedom champions will be crowned on May 7 in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.
