NEWTOWN, PA (January 20, 2026) — With the 2026 season on the horizon, the King's College softball team was selected eighth in the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom Coaches' Preseason Poll, released Tuesday by the conference office.

Lebanon Valley, the two-time defending MAC Freedom champions, was chosen as the preseason favorite after earning 48 points and six first-place votes. Misericordia followed in second with 40 points and two first-place votes, while Stevens rounded out the top three with 35 points.

DeSales earned the fourth position with 27 points, followed by Delaware Valley at 24. Arcadia was slotted sixth with 22 points, just ahead of FDU-Florham, which finished with 21 points. King's completed the preseason rankings at eighth with seven points.

The Monarchs open their 2026 campaign on Sunday, March 8, against New Jersey City University at 10:00 a.m. The game will be played at Field 8 of the North Myrtle Beach Park & Sports Complex as part of the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic in North Myrtle Beach, S.C.
