ONEONTA, NY (March 19, 2022) --- First-year
Alli Lindsay scored two goals to lead the Monarch women's lacrosse team in a 13-6 defeat to Hartwick College on Saturday afternoon.
Hartwick started off the game strong, scoring the first four goals in the early stages of the first quarter.
Natasha Koslop got King's on the board in the last minute of the first period off an assist from
Gabby Lucchesi.
The Hawks controlled the second period of play, adding four more goals to their tally to take an 8-1 lead into halftime.
Lindsay got the Monarchs rolling in the second half as they scored at the 12:41 mark in the third period off an assist from fellow first-year
Kyleigh Dunworth. Following a goal from Hartwick, Lindsay scored her second goal of the day off a feed from
Grace Venis on a man-up opporunity. Venis then scored a goal of her own less than a minute after to bring the Monarchs within five of the Hawks.
Carli Komorowski scored her sixth goal of the season in the middle stages of the fourth quarter. Dunworth wrapped up the scoring for KC while continuing her impressive streak with a goal in all five games this season.
Sidney Bush got the start in goal and played all 60 minutes while recording 11 saves in the loss.
Kin'gs will return to action on Monday when they host Susquehanna University at 4:00 pm.
