Koslop, Lindsay Score Twice in Loss at Stevens

HOBOKEN, NJ (April 2, 2022) -- First year Alli Lindsay and senior Natasha Koslop each netted two goals as the King's College women's lacrosse team fell on the road at Stevens Institute of Technology, 22-5, on Saturday afternoon in MAC Freedom play. The Monarchs fall to 1-8 overall and 0-2 in conference action, while the Ducks improve to 10-1 and 2-0 in the conference standings.

King's (1-8, 0-2 MAC Freedom) traded goals early with Stevens (10-1, 2-0 MAC Freedom) in the first 2:16 thanks to Koslop's first goal on an assist from Lindsay. The Ducks then netted 12 unanswered goals with the last tally coming at the 7:16 mark of the second period. Senior Emily Sims got the Monarchs back on the board with 6:00 to go in the half, before Stevens scored twice down the stretch to post the 15-2 halftime deficit.

The two teams went toe-to-toe to start the second half as Lindsay scored twice with King's still trailing, 17-4, with 4:11 left in the third. Five consecutive goals from the Ducks set up the Monarchs for the final goal of the game by Koslop with 53 seconds to go, posting the 22-5 final on the road in MAC Freedom play.

Lindsay led the way with three points on two goals and two assists on four shots, adding a team-high three ground balls, two draw controls and a caused turnover. Koslop earned two points on two goals off four shots with two draw controls, while first year Carli Komorowski totaled two ground balls. Sophomore Sidney Bush and junior Jessie Smalley each recorded four saves in the loss in goal.

Camryn Rogers led Stevens with six points on six goals with 12 draw controls and three ground balls. Erica Shug led the Ducks with four ground balls and three caused turnovers. Lauren Cunniff earned the win as the starter, making three saves between the pipes.

The Monarchs are back in action on Wednesday afternoon as they host Lycoming College in McCarthy Stadium at 3:30 p.m. in MAC Freedom play.
