MADISON, NJ (January 21, 2024) – The King's College men's swim team dropped 61-90 to Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) opponent the Devils of FDU-Florham on Sunday afternoon. The Monarchs saw
Anthony Ursini (Sr.) earn an individual victory in Furguson Recreation Center.
In the second event of the contest, King's took second in the 800-yard freestyle relay in 8:43.46 with Ursini,
Christopher Maciejczyk (Fy.),
Matthew Maciejczyk (Fy.), and
Blaze Graham (So.). Ursini had a time of 11:23.18 in the 1000-yard freestyle and took first over FDU-Florham's Jackson Standrudge.
Matthew Maciejczyk had a second place finish in the 200-yard freestyle at 2:17.89. In the 50-yard freestyle, Graham was 0.78 away from taking first place as he timed at 23.92 behind FDU-Florham's Michael Bang.
Cody Zheng (Jr.) followed Graham and finished with a time of 33.17 in the 50-yard freestyle.
Billy Hanson had a time of 2:34.37 in the 200-yard individual medley. Chris Marriot placed second in the 100-yard butterfly at 1:14.11. In the 100-yard freestyle, Zheng had a fourth place finish at 1:19.99, while Graham and Hanson competed without points going toward team scoring.
Christopher Maciejczyk had a time of 1:08.22 in the 100-yard backstroke to place second.
In the 500-yard freestyle, Ursini took second with a time of 5:39.56. In the last individual event, Marriot timed in at 1:23.02 in the 100-yard breaststroke for second place. In the final event of the day, the Monarchs had a 2:07.16 time in the 200-yard medley relay that comprised of
Christopher Maciejczyk, Marriot, Hanson, and Graham.
King's will host an inner squad scrimmage for Alumni Day on Saturday, January 27
th at 1 p.m. The squad will welcome Wilkes and Cabrini for a home tri-meet at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 3
rd for Senior Day.
