WILKES-BARRE, PA (October 12, 2024) -- The King's College women's soccer team moves to 3-6-4, 2-0-0 MAC Freedom after beating Delaware Valley University 2-0 at McCarthy Stadium Saturday afternoon. The Aggies will move to 2-10-1, 0-1-1 MAC Freedom with the loss.
The Monarchs were off to a hot start as first-year defender
Maya Parker put King's on the board in the third minute of play, scoring off an assist from senior captain
Leah Sankey. The remainder of the half was competitive, but no other offensive conversions carried the teams to the halftime break with a 1-0 score in favor of King's.

Cady McKean was issued a yellow card in minute 62 and, four minutes later, the Monarchs extended their lead to 2-0 after
Anya Chervak scored off an assist from
Raina Adelman. Chervak leads the Monarchs with four goals on the season.
Through 90 minutes, King's had 16 total shots with eight being on goal compared to Delaware Valley's ten shots with two on goal.
King's is back in action next Friday, October 18 as they travel to take on Misericordia at7 p.m.
