WILKES-BARRE, PA (November 27, 2024) -- The holiday season is upon us, but the King's College football team has their sights on the task ahead as the team continues their preparation for their upcoming Second Round contest in the 2024 NCAA Division III Football Championships on Saturday afternoon. The Monarchs will travel to Salisbury, Md. to take on Salisbury University on Saturday, November 30 at 12:00 p.m.

King's (10-1) defeated Ursinus College last Saturday, 32-29, in an instant classic at McCarthy Stadium. Russell Minor-Shaw threw the game-winning touchdown pass to Mike DiGregorio with 25 seconds left on the game clock to secure the win. Salisbury (10-0) earned a bye in the first round as the Sea Gulls won the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) and held on to their 8th-place ranking in the final D3football.com weekly poll.

The winner of this weekend's Round-of-32 contest will advance to the "Sweet 16" of the 2024 NCAA Division III Football Championships and will face the winner of the match up between Randolph-Macon and Washington & Jefferson.
