Women's Volleyball Takes Care of Business in Tri-Match

ASTON, PA (October 25, 2025) – The King's College women's volleyball team is back on a win streak with two more victories on Saturday, earning a thrilling five-set win over Gwynedd Mercy before defeating host Neumann in four sets at The Mirenda Center. With the pair of wins, the Monarchs improved to 15–9 overall.

Match 1: King's 3, Gwynedd Mercy 2 (25–15, 21–25, 24–26, 25–20, 15–4)
The Monarchs opened the day in dramatic fashion, rallying for a five-set victory over Gwynedd Mercy. King's came out fast with a 25–15 win in the first set before the Griffins took two straight to move ahead 2–1. The Monarchs responded with poise in the fourth, fueled by steady serving and strong attacking from Bella Salvia and Emma Bolich, to even the match. In the decisive fifth set, King's dominated from start to finish, racing out to a 10–2 lead and closing the frame 15–4.

King's hit .221 as a team, finishing with 43 kills and 15 aces. Salvia led the attack with 10 kills and an ace, while Bolich added eight kills on a .471 hitting clip. Lindsay Arezina tallied eight kills and two blocks, Theresa Lynch contributed six kills, and Madisyn Heiser-Elsea added four. Ariela Towsey set the tempo with 14 assists and six aces, while Izzy Deluco chipped in 15 assists, two aces, and six digs. Morgan Williams anchored the defense with 14 digs and one ace, and Brynn Giordano added 13 digs to help King's to the win.

Match 2: King's 3, Neumann 1 (22–25, 25–22, 25–18, 25–22)
In their second match of the day, the Monarchs built off their earlier momentum to down Neumann in four sets. After dropping the opener 25–22, King's found its rhythm and took control, winning the next three sets behind efficient offense and timely serving. Emma Bolich led the charge with 12 kills on .476 hitting, while Mia Campanile and Madisyn Heiser-Elsea each added eight kills. Salvia and Lynch combined for 16 more kills as King's hit .286 as a team.

Deluco directed a well-balanced offense with 24 assists and added twoservice aces, while Towsey contributed 20 assists of her own along with seven aces. Williams again led the back row with 23 digs, while Riley McArdle added 13 and Deluco contributed five. Heiser-Elsea led the defense at the net with four blocks, and Bolich and Arezina each chipped in key points to help seal the win.

The Monarchs (15–9, 1–4 MAC Freedom) return to conference play on Tuesday, October 28, when FDU-Florham comes to town at 7:00 p.m.
