Men's Swimming take down Lycoming, Fall to PSU Altoona; Women's Swimming Fall to Lycoming and PSU Altoona.

WILLIAMSPORT, PA (December 6, 2025) — The King's College men's and women's swim teams were back in the pool on Saturday afternoon, competing in a tri-meet against Lycoming College and Penn State Altoona inside the Lamade Gymnasium Natatorium. The Monarch men earned a split on the day, defeating Lycoming 122-52 while falling to Altoona 145-67. The women's team swam hard throughout the meet, picking up several strong individual performances.

The highlight of the afternoon for King's came in the men's 1000-yard freestyle, where sophomore Chris Dutko delivered a milestone swim. Dutko broke the 12-minute barrier for the first time in his career, posting a personal-best 11:57.56 to claim second overall. Teammate Christopher Maciejczyk followed with a 12:48.34.

In the men's 200 IM, Connor Scheckner earned a victory for King's, stopping the clock at 2:04.66. Scheckner added another strong finish with a 55.26 to win the 100 backstroke and later anchored the Monarchs' 200 freestyle relay to a runner-up time of 1:34.78 alongside Chase Kubis, Dutko, and Kyle McDevitt.

Kubis had a productive day as well, finishing third in a highly competitive 50 free (23.46) and taking second in the 100 free with a 52.79. Stefan Lakoseljac and Noah Dunbar also contributed key points with top-five finishes in sprint and mid-distance events.

On the women's side, Stefany Malaga Nunez turned in a pair of steady swims in the 200 IM (2:58.67) and 100 backstroke (1:17.34). Abigayle Cryan and Athena Gerlek continued their early-season development in multiple freestyle events, while Malaga Nunez added another strong race in the 100 free (1:09.98).

King's closed the meet with a solid showing in the men's 400 freestyle relay, as the quartet of Kubis, Lakoseljac, Dutko, and Scheckner posted a time of 3:38.55.

The Monarchs return home next Saturday for a home meet at the Scandlon Natatorium vs St. Joseph's Long Island.
