DOYLESTOWN, PA (February 12, 2025) -- On Wednesday night in Doylestown, the King's College men's basketball team three-game win streak came to an end as they fell, 67-54, on the road at Delaware Valley University. With the setback in the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) contest, the Monarchs fall to 10-10 overall and 5-6 in the conference, while the Aggies improve to 11-11 with a 6-5 conference mark.

King's (10-10, 5-6 MAC Freedom) started strong, leading 20-8 with 11:03 to go in the half, but Delaware Valley (11-11, 6-5 MAC Freedom) made a push midway through the first and kept it a two-possession game down the stretch. The Monarchs kept the lead, but an Aggies dunk with 30 seconds left made it a three-point game, 32-29, at the break.

The teams traded baskets early before Delaware Valley tied the game, 38-38, with 14:00 to go as part of a 7-0 run that gave the Aggies their first lead of the game. King's kept the game within two possessions, but a three from Kamal Johnson with 6:02 to play ignited a 15-6 spurt as the Monarchs faced a 65-51 deficit with 1:02 remaining.
Chris Patton hit a three on their next trip down the court with 46 ticks to go, but another big-time bucket from Delaware Valley put the game away as King's fell, 67-54, on the road on Wednesday night.

Patton led all scorers with 25 points, adding six boards and five steals, while
Jawane Buckner added 14 points and two assists.
Jake Karnish totaled six points with six boards and three helpers, while
Garrett Burys grabbed five rebounds.

Zoelin Pair paced the Aggies with 23 points, six boards, and two steals, going 10-for-11 from the floor, while Antonio Redding had 12 points, six rebounds, and three assists.

The King's defense limited Delaware Valley to 27.8% (5-18) from beyond the arc and forced 14 turnovers, while the Monarchs had the edge in points off turnovers (22-6) and fast break points (10-7).

King's returns to McGrane Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon as they are set to celebrate senior day ahead of their MAC Freedom match up against Stevens Institute of Technology. Tip off is set for 3:00 p.m.
