HERSHEY, PA (February 18, 2025) – The King's College men's ice hockey team secured a 3-2 overtime win against the Flying Dutchmen of Lebanon Valley College on Tuesday night at HersheyPark Arena. Kent Lee scored two goals, including the game-winner in overtime, to seal the deal for the Monarchs. With the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) win, they tied the program record for the most wins in a season with nine as they move to 9-14-1, 7-12-1 in conference play with the Flying Dutchmen falling to 6-16-1, 5-13-1.

The Flying Dutchmen struck first as Darion Benchich scored midway through the first period with help from Harris Blackwood and Lukas Washco. Lebanon Valley led 1-0 going into the first intermission.

The Monarchs found their groove in the second period as Brendan Krawczyk found the back of the net at 8:35, unassisted, and Lee scored his first goal of the night at 15:19 with an assist from Grant Parshall. The Monarchs took the 2-1 lead to close out the second period.

Ethan Hersant found himself in the penalty box after being called for roughing at 11:53, resulting in an unassisted power play goal for Lebanon Valley's Brenden Yingling, tying the game at 2-2. The score stood as regulation time expired.

Overtime hero Kent Lee secured the win for the Monarchs with a goal at 3:44 off an assist from Jakub Viedemann. Mauro D'Alessandro notched three blocks on the night alongside first year goaltender Ben Williams' 50 saves in net.

The Monarchs return to action this Friday, February 21 as they travel to Neumann University for a 7 p.m. match up with the Knights to close out the season.
