NEWTOWN, PA (February 24, 2025) -- The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) office announced the MAC Players of the Week on Monday afternoon. The King's College men's volleyball team witnessed two members get recognized with this honor. Gavin Gilhool tabbed his first MAC Defensive Player of the Week of the season and Logan Dougherty collected his first career MAC Offensive Player of the Week. 

Gilhool produced 12 blocks in King's 2-1 week and averaged four blocks a game. The senior middle blocker collected three blocks against #16 Misericordia. On Saturday, Gilhool had nine total blocks against Wilson and Bryn Athyn.

Dougherty accumulated 41 kills, seven assists, and three aces across three games. The sophomore outside hitter averaged 13.66 kills and a hitting percentage of .572. Dougherty had 18 kills, one assist, one ace, and a hitting percentage of .471 against #16 Misericordia. He produced 12 kills, one assist, and a hitting percentage of .400 in the win over Wilson. Dougherty had 11 kills, five assists, and two aces with a hitting percentage of .846 against Bryn Athyn.

This marks the third time this season that a Monarch has earned a MAC weekly award as Rich Alvarez collected a MAC Defensive Player of the Week.
