Kevin Kullman Hits Three-Run Home Run to Secure Comeback Win Over Hood College

ABERDEEN, MD (March 12, 2025) – The King's College baseball team secured a 15-10 win over the Blazers of Hood College in game two of The Ripken Experience Baseball Tournament in Aberdeen, MD on Wednesday afternoon. The Monarchs improve to 2-7 overall as the Blazers fall to 3-10.

The Blazers jumped out to a quick 4-0 lead in the first inning, but the Monarchs answered back in the third as Owen Kosar hit a single to left field to bring in two runs and advanced to second base. Zach Day followed up with a double to center, scoring Owen Ness and making it a 4-3 ball game. Hood then added a run in the fifth to make it 5-3.

Both teams scored five runs each in the sixth inning. Jacob Sutton hit a single to center to score Day, advancing Kevin Kullman to second and Jaiden Wanamaker to third. Jake Kudrick reached first on an error by the first baseman, pushing Sutton to second, Kullman to third and Wanamaker snagging home. Jason Cunha kept the offense alive with a single to left field, advancing all runners and scoring Kullman. Kosar tabbed another single to left field to once again advance all runners and score Sutton. Kudrick scored the last run of the sixth inning off a sacrifice fly from Troy Neff to cut the Blazers' lead to 10-8.

King's went on to score seven unanswered runs, one in the seventh and six in the eighth, including a three-run home run by Kullman, to secure the 15-10 win over the Blazers. Aydan Davis (1-0) tabbed his first pitching win of the year, handing Conner Decker (0-1) the loss. 

The Monarchs are back in action on Saturday, March 15 for a MAC Freedom double header with the Devils of FDU Florham at 12 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. at Lipo Field.
