King’s Baseball Topped by Penn College on Tuesday Night

WILLIAMSPORT, PA (March 25, 2025) – The King's College Baseball team fell 15-4 to the Wildcats of Penn College 3-1 on Tuesday night at Bowman Field. With the loss, the Monarchs move to 5-13 on the season, remaining 1-5 in Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom play as the Wildcats improve to 8-8 overall, 3-1 in the United East Conference.

The Wildcats jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the first inning before King's got on the board in the top of the second. Owen Kosar got the Monarchs going with a single hit to left field, putting Jacob Sutton on second base, Jason Cunha to third and bringing Jaiden Wanamaker home. Troy Neff was walked to advance the base runners and score Sutton. Owen Ness hit a single to third base to again put runners on second and third and score Kosar. Zach Day capped off the four-run inning with a sacrifice fly ball to center field to score Jenkins and give King's the 4-3 lead.

The Wildcats went on to score two runs in each the second and third innings, three runs in the fourth, four runs in the fifth and one more in the sixth to snag the 15-4 win over the Monarchs.

Wanamaker led the Monarchs with one run and two hits as Neff, Ness, Day and Kosar each recorded one RBI. Colby Gardner (1-1) received the pitching loss after notching two strikeouts during his inning on the mound.

The Monarchs are back home at Lipo Field tomorrow, March 26 as they host the Patriots of the University of Valley Forge at 4 p.m.
