WILKES-BARRE, PA (March 26, 2025) -- The King's College men's volleyball team battled hard against Arcadia University before falling 3-0 to the Knights in their Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) matchup on Wednesday evening.

Arcadia (9-17, 3-3 MAC) took an early 5-3 lead in the opening set, but the Monarchs (12-13, 1-5 MAC) answered quickly with a 7-3 run that included points by Logan Dougherty, Gavin Gilhool, and Ben Maskiell. The visitors were not going down easy and created a 12-4 push to regain their momentum. King's looked to pester the Knights, but with an Arcadia ace, the Knights took the first set 25-18.

The second set was a series of runs. The Monarchs threw the first punch with a 5-2 jolt thanks to Logan Aikens, Dougherty, Logan Place, and Bousquet. Arcadia came right back with their own 6-2 burst to gain a four-point cushion. King's stayed hungry throughout the set and continued to go back-and-forth with their conference opponent. The Monarchs were down 24-19 when the team made one last 4-0 push. Arcadia edged past the Monarchs with a 25-23 second set win.

The Knights kept the same energy to start the third and final set. The Monarchs were down 10-8 when they rallied a 5-1 run to overtake the visitors. Arcadia responded once more with 13-3 burst and looked to secure the win. King's tacked on back-to-back tallies to keep the set alive before falling 25-18 to the Knights.
