Men's Lacrosse Fall on the Road to DeSales

CENTER VALLEY, PA (April 12, 2025) -- The King's College men's lacrosse team was defeated by DeSales 18-1 on Saturday afternoon.
 
The two Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom opponents went back-and-forth for four minutes straight to start the opening quarter. The Bulldogs (6-7, 3-0 MAC Freedom) netted the first goal of the game at 10:45. The Monarchs (1-11, 0-4 MAC Freedom) answered right back after a faceoff win and saw Ryan Lynch collect a goal at 10:13 thanks to an assist by Ben Spencer. Though DeSales returned the favor with a 5-0 run to end the first quarter. King's created several shot opportunities in the first five minutes of the second quarter, but the Bulldogs had every answer. The hosts maintained their momentum and scored four unanswered tallies. Heading into halftime, the Monarchs were down 10-1.
 
King's pestered the Bulldogs throughout the second half, but DeSales was able to keep the same energy with eight goals. At the final buzzer, the Monarchs fell 18-1.
 
Ryan Lynch scored the lone goal for the squad on four shots and Spencer had an assist. On defense, Ryan Dolphin produced two caused turnovers. Ryan Rickards collected 15 saves and four ground balls in goal.
 
The Bulldogs' Jake Hurd had three goals and three assists. Nate Perry was right behind with three goals and two helpers. Jake Fratarcangeli dished out three assists. Anthony Gash went 15-17 in faceoffs with 12 ground balls. Taylor Wikert had three caused turnovers and three ground balls. Hunter Waldron produced four saves between the posts.
 
The Monarchs will return to McCarthy Stadium on Wednesday, April 16th to take on the Devils of FDU-Florham at 7 p.m.
