Women's Soccer Drops Non-Conference Matchup Against Stockton

GALLOWAY, NJ (August 30, 2025) – The King's College women's soccer team dropped a non-conference matchup 3-0 to Stockton University in their second game of the season at the Stockton Tournament. The Monarchs are now 0-2-0 overall with the Ospreys moving to 1-1-0 after their first win of 2025.

Stockton got on the board first in the fourth minute on a goal from Megan Morris, assisted by Makayla Jaffe. A pass from just inside midfield led Morris through the Monarch defense to place a shot in the bottom left corner of the net. In the 36th minute, Stockton extended their lead to two with a header from Jadelyn Sayrafe following a corner kick from Megan Morris.

Despite entering the half down two goals, the Monarchs led the shots battle 4-3 in the first half with two shots on goal. The first shot came from Jessica Juarez, sending a shot from just outside the box that was saved by the Osprey keeper. Taryn Conover took the second shot on goal for King's with a free kick from about 25 yards out.

In the second half, King's had some opportunities with two corners and a shot on goal from Madison Jellema in the 46th minute but were unable to convert. The shot from Jellema came off a nice move from her right to left as she sent a shot at the top right corner of the net that was taken away by keeper Morgan Keil. At the 71:21 mark, Megan Morris scored her second goal of the game to put Stockton up 3-0.

Jenna Waldbillig led the Monarchs with two shots on Saturday while Juarez, Conover and Jellema each recorded a shot as well. Sophomore goalkeeper Courtney Monard tallied three saves in her second start of the season.

King's women's soccer is back on the road Wednesday, September 3, as they are set to play against Elmira College at 6:00 PM.
