ALLENTOWN, PA (September 17, 2025) – The King's College women's volleyball team dropped a tough road match to Muhlenberg College on Wednesday evening, falling in three sets at Memorial Hall. The Monarchs are now 7–2 on the season.
King's kept things close early in both of the first two sets but was unable to close them out. Theresa Lynch and Bella Salvia provided offensive sparks in set one, and Morgan Williams worked hard in the back row to keep rallies alive, but Muhlenberg edged it out to take the set 25–23.
The second set was similar: King's battled back from deficits, with Lynch and Salvia trading kills, and Ariela Towsey continuing to supply sets. However, Muhlenberg again found just enough momentum down the stretch to win 25–23.
In the third set, the Monarchs showed plenty of fight early, trading points behind kills from Lynch and Emma Bolich and defensive stops from Williams. Muhlenberg eventually built separation midway through the set though, putting it away at 25–15.
King's finished the match with 37 kills, 4 aces, and 1 block, hitting .222 as a team. Lynch led the offense with 14 kills; Salvia added 7; Bolich chipped in 5. Towsey dished out 27 assists, Williams collected 12 digs, followed by Lynch with 10 and Towsey with 9.
The Monarchs are back home this Saturday, September 20 for a tri-match with Keystone and Immaculata. The match vs Keystone starts at 12:00 PM and then the Monarchs have Immaculata at 4:00 PM.
