Women's Soccer Downs Wilson 3-0 on Senior Day

WILKES-BARRE, PA (September 19, 2025)— On Saturday afternoon, the King's College women's soccer team honored its five graduating players – Ashlyn Crawford, Jenna Waldbillig, Abby Holloway, Caitlin Kirk and Emily Mazella—ahead of a non-conference matchup with Wilson College. The Monarchs fed off an offensive frenzy in the first half to come away with a 3-0 victory, moving to 2-5-1 overall while the Phoenix now sit at 2-3-2.

The Monarchs got things going early, scoring at the 5:03 mark to go ahead 1-0. A Waldbillig bicycle pass deflected off a Wilson player and landed right in front of Isabella Pacia to knock in her second goal of the season.

Seven minutes later, in the 13th minute, Maya Parker made moves on multiple defenders before sending a left-footed shot from outside the box that bent around the extended Phoenix keeper to put King's up 2-0.

The Monarchs kept it going in the 29th, extending their lead to three on a Madison Jellema shot from outside the left side of the box that curled into the top right corner of the net. Jellema played a corner short to Jessica Juarez, who sent it straight back to Jellema to cash in for King's.

King's went into the half with an 11-3 edge on shots and a 5-0 advantage in corners.

The Monarchs continued to control the match in the second half, generating nine more shots for a team total of 20 on the night and four additional corner kicks while limiting Wilson's offensive opportunities. King's saw two more attempts rattle the woodwork and kept the pressure on throughout the final 45 minutes.

Defensively, King's remained solid to preserve the clean sheet, with three goalkeepers combining for the shutout. Courtney Monard started the match and held things down in the first half with a pair of saves, while Crawford and Mazella split duties in the second to close out the 3-0 win.

Pacia, Parker, and Jellema each found the back of the net for King's, while Juarez provided the lone assist. Waldbillig and Mackenzie Seeley led the Monarchs with three shots apiece, and 10 different players recorded at least one attempt.

King's women's soccer is back in action on Wednesday, September 24 at McCarthy Stadium for a matchup with Immaculata University at 7:00 PM.
