Women's Volleyball Sweeps Delaware Valley in MAC Freedom Opener

WILKES-BARRE, PA (September 24, 2025) – Backed by a loud whiteout crowd inside McGrane Gymnasium, the King's College women's volleyball team opened MAC Freedom play in style, sweeping Delaware Valley University 3–0. The Monarchs improved to 10–2 overall and 1–0 in conference play with the victory.

King's started fast in the opening set, building momentum through efficient attacking and steady serving to take control 25–16. The second set saw more back-and-forth play, but fueled by the energy of the crowd, key kills from Theresa Lynch and Bella Salvia helped the Monarchs hold off the Aggies late for a 25–20 win. In the third, King's closed out the sweep with its best set of the night, hitting .184 as a team and using a balanced offense to pull away 25–17.

The Monarchs finished with 44 kills, 34 assists, and four total blocks in the win. Salvia led the way with 13 kills and three aces, while Lynch and Hannah Swinsburg each tallied seven kills. Emma Bolich contributed six kills and two blocks, and Madisyn Heiser-Elsea added five kills at a .364 hitting clip. Ariela Towsey paced the offense with 31 assists and eight digs, while Morgan Williams anchored the defense with 11 digs. Riley McArdle also turned in a solid effort with 11 digs of her own.

The Monarchs (10–2, 1–0 MAC Freedom) return home on Friday, September 26, for a non-conference matchup against Penn College at 6:00 p.m. inside McGrane Gymnasium.
