WILKES-BARRE, PA (September 9, 2025) – The King's College women's volleyball team continued its strong start to the season with a dominant victory over SUNY Delhi on Tuesday evening inside McGrane Gymnasium. The Monarchs never trailed in the match, cruising to a 3–0 win by scores of 25–14, 25–7, and 25–11 to move to 5–1 overall.
The Monarchs set the tone early in the first set, cruising to an 18–10 advantage before closing on a 7–4 run to claim the set. King's was nearly flawless in the second frame, jumping out to a 10-0 lead and hitting .280 as a team with just two errors, while their defense held Delhi to a negative hitting percentage. In the third, the Monarchs surged ahead 10–3 behind sharp serving from Izzy Deluco and never looked back, sealing the sweep in just over an hour of play.
King's was led offensively by Bella Salvia, who registered a match-high 16 kills on .375 hitting. Theresa Lynch added 13 kills and four blocks, while Emma Bolich chipped in six kills. Ariela Towsey provided 15 assists and four kills of her own, and Deluco added nine service aces to spark the Monarchs from the line. Defensively, libero Morgan Williams anchored the back row with 15 digs, while Bolich and Lynch controlled the net to combine for five total blocks.
The Monarchs will look to keep their momentum rolling this weekend as they hit the road for a tri-match hosted by St. Elizabeth University, taking on The City College of New York and the host Eagles on Saturday, September 13.
