MADISON, N.J. (January 10, 2026) — The King's College women's basketball team earned a strong MAC Freedom road victory on Saturday afternoon, defeating FDU-Florham 72–52 at the Ferguson Recreation Center. The Monarchs outscored the Devils in three of four quarters and used balanced scoring and defensive pressure to pull away in the second half.
King's set the tone early, opening the game with an efficient offensive first quarter to take a 25–14 lead. The Monarchs moved the ball well and knocked down timely perimeter shots, while limiting FDU-Florham to 30 percent shooting in the opening frame. The Devils responded in the second quarter, outscoring King's 19–17 to trim the deficit to 42–33 at halftime.
The Monarchs regained full control after the break, outscoring FDU-Florham 16–15 in the third quarter before putting the game away in the fourth. King's held the Devils to just four points in the final period, closing the contest on a 14–4 run to seal the 20-point conference victory.
Lauren Casey led all scorers with 25 points and added 16 rebounds for a dominant double-double performance. Gianna Dickson delivered a historic shooting night, knocking down seven three-pointers and finishing with 23 points. Her seven triples rank third-most in a single game in program history.
Cadie Lewis orchestrated the Monarchs' offense, dishing out 12 assists to go along with four points, five rebounds, and three steals. Her 12 assists also rank third-most in a game all-time at King's, marking the second historic performance of the afternoon. Claire Aufiero added eight points and seven rebounds, while Irelynd Long chipped in four points and three assists.
As a team, King's shot 44.3 percent from the field and held FDU-Florham to just 28.0 percent shooting, including 1-of-7 from three-point range. The Monarchs forced 16 turnovers and turned them into 18 points, while winning the rebounding battle 44–43.
The win improves The Monarchs to 8–5 overall and 1–1 in MAC Freedom play as the Monarchs continue conference action on Wednesday January 14, when Stevens comes to town for a 7 PM tip.
