NEW BRITAIN, PA (Januasry 17, 2026) – The King's College women's basketball team fell on the road to Delaware Valley University, 71–64, in a MAC Freedom matchup on Friday afternoon at James Work Gymnasium.
Both teams traded buckets back and fourth in the opening quarter, with Delaware Valley up 11–10, before the Aggies edged ahead in the second quarter to take a 29–25 lead into halftime. King's battled throughout the third, outscoring the Aggies 26–24 in the frame to make it a two point game heading into the final 10 minutes.
Delaware Valley pulled ahead in the fourth quarter, but the Monarchs mounted a late push, cutting the deficit to just one possession in the closing minutes before the Aggies sealed the game at the free-throw line.
Lauren Casey led King's with a game-high 23 points and added 10 rebounds for a double-double performance. Cadie Lewis finished with 12 points, six assists, and seven rebounds, while Taylor Hough contributed nine points off the bench. Gianna Dickson added eight points, knocking down a pair of three-pointers.
King's shot 43.4 percent from the field and went 7-of-20 from beyond the arc, staying competitive throughout despite being outscored in three of the four quarters.
The Monarchs will look to bounce back as they continue conference play in their next contest, when they travel to Dallas to take on Misericordia Wednesday night at 7.
