CENTER VALLEY, PA (February 18, 2026) — The King's College women's basketball team fell on the road Wednesday night, dropping a 76–45 decision to DeSales University in MAC Freedom play at Billera Hall.
DeSales built an early advantage in the opening period, shooting 60 percent from the floor to take a 26–12 lead after one. King's tightened up defensively in the second quarter, holding the Bulldogs to just three field goals, but were unable to chip significantly into the deficit as the teams entered halftime with DeSales leading 35–21.
DeSales pulled away in the third quarter, outscoring the Monarchs 20–10 to extend the margin to 55–31 heading into the final frame. King's continued to compete in the fourth, scoring 14 points, but the Bulldogs answered with 21 to secure the conference win.
Claire Aufiero led King's with 11 points on 4-of-7 shooting, including 1-for-1 from three-point range, while adding seven rebounds, three assists, two steals, and a block. Lauren Casey finished with 10 points and six rebounds, and Irelynd Long contributed eight points, going 4-for-5 from the free throw line.
Gianna Dickson added three points and two rebounds, while Cadie Lewis recorded four assists, a steal, and a block. Layla Orth chipped in three points off the bench, and Elise Larson provided four points at the free throw line in reserve minutes.
King's shot 34.8 percent (16-of-46) from the floor and 3-of-14 from beyond the arc. DeSales was led by Lindsay Bednarek's 22 points and Mikaili Donmoyer's 13 points and 10 rebounds as the Bulldogs shot 46.3 percent for the game.
The Monarchs will look to regroup as they wrap up the season away at Arcadia on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
