ANNVILLE, PA (February 7, 2026) — The King's College women's basketball team suffered a conference setback on the road Saturday afternoon, falling to Lebanon Valley College inside Arnold Field House.
Lebanon Valley came out strong in the opening quarter, using efficient shooting and early defensive pressure to build an initial advantage. King's worked to stay within striking distance behind steady contributions from its starting unit, but the Dutchmen maintained control heading into the second quarter up 14-10.
The Flying Dutchmen continued to extend their lead in the second frame, capitalizing on second-chance opportunities and transition offense. King's battled on the glass and generated quality looks, but struggled to find consistent rhythm offensively as Lebanon Valley carried momentum into halftime with a 31-17 lead.
Out of the break, the Monarchs showed improved energy on both ends of the floor, moving the ball more effectively and creating better scoring chances. Despite the improved effort, Lebanon Valley remained efficient offensively and continued to widen the margin, entering the fourth with a 15 point lead.
In the final period, King's continued to compete and play with urgency, but the Dutchmen were able to close out the contest by controlling tempo and limiting transition opportunities. The Monarchs were unable to overcome the early deficit as Lebanon Valley sealed the victory 53-33.
King's was led offensively by Lauren Casey, who paced the team in scoring with seven, while Gianna Dickson and Irelynd Long provided the Monarchs' two threes on the night. Cadie Lewis put together a four point, four assist night while leading King's with six boards while Taylor Hough also contributed four points of her own. Claire Aufiero and Casey anchored the defense with a block and a three steals each, which is a career-high for Aufiero and ties Casey's career-high.
It was a rough night shooting all around for the Monarchs, as they were limited to just 23.3% and 2-12 from three.
King's will look to regroup and return home for more conference play when Misericordia comes to town Wednesday February 11 for a 7:00 PM tip.
