Women's Lacrosse Falls at Methodist

FAYETTEVILLE, NC (March 10, 2026) -- King's fell on the road Tuesday afternoon, dropping a 16-4 decision at Methodist in non-conference women's lacrosse action in Fayetteville, N.C.

Methodist controlled the pace early, scoring four times in the opening quarter to take a 4-0 lead after the first 15 minutes. The Monarchs generated limited offensive chances in the period while the host Monarchs held a significant edge in shots.

King's found the scoreboard in the second quarter as Sarah Schultz recorded the team's first goal, beginning a brief offensive push. Sydney Stratton later added a goal during the frame, with Emilee Schultz assisting on multiple scoring plays to help keep King's within striking distance. Despite the surge, Methodist continued to capitalize on its opportunities and carried a 9-2 lead into halftime.

The hosts extended their advantage in the third quarter, adding four more goals while limiting King's to just one shot in the period. Methodist's offense continued to apply pressure throughout the second half, finishing the afternoon with 41 total shots compared to six for King's.

King's showed some late fight in the fourth quarter, scoring twice to close the game. Sarah Schultz netted her second goal of the contest, while Brooke Harmonosky also found the back of the net. Emilee Schultz finished with three assists to lead the Monarchs offensively.

Sarah Schultz paced King's with two goals on three shots, while Stratton and Harmonosky each added a goal. Emilee Schultz's three assists accounted for all of the Monarchs' helpers on the afternoon. Defensively, Alyssa Reeber tallied 16 saves as she faced 24 shots on goal.

King's will look to bounce back in its next contest as the Monarchs return home to McCarthy Stadium to take on Wilkes on Saturday, March 14 at 1:00 p.m..
