WILKES-BARRE, PA (March 18, 2026) — The King's College men's lacrosse team earned a strong home victory on Wednesday evening, defeating Neumann University 10-6 at McCarthy Stadium.
A back and forth battle saw the game locked in a stalemate at 1 apiece after the first quarter. King's started to build momentum in the second, adding three more goals while the defense held Neumann in check to take a 4-2 advantage into halftime.
King's came out strong from the break, with four third-quarter goals, maintaining control of the game and carrying an 8-3 lead into the final quarter.
The Monarchs sealed the win in the fourth, adding two more goals while limiting Neumann's opportunities on the defensive end. Strong possession play and timely stops helped King's close out the 10-6 victory.
Offensively, King's saw contributions across the board, with a Ryan Lynch hattrick, two goals each from Miles Wilson, Brenden Lynch, and Logan Gallagher, and a tally from EJ Schreiner. Gallagher added three helpers to make it a five point day, while Wilson added another along with Connor Walsh. The Monarchs capitalized on key possessions and executed efficiently in settled offense throughout the contest.
Defensively, King's was sharp from start to finish, limiting Neumann's scoring chances and taking the advantage in 37-30 ground balls, shots 23-13, and faceoffs 11-9. In goal, Ryan Rickards made seven key saves to preserve the lead and secure the win. In the win, Junior Ryan Hilpp hit a career milestone as he picked up his 100th career ground ball, as he continues to do the dirty work for this Monarch squad.
With the victory, the Monarchs move to 3-3 and will look to build momentum as they continue their season and prepare for their next matchup on the road Saturday March 21 at Immaculata at 4:00 p.m.
