Men's Lacrosse Falls on Senior Day

WILKES-BARRE, PA (March 28, 2026) — The King's College men's lacrosse team suffered a heartbreaking 10–9 loss to Manhattanville on Senior Day at McCarthy Stadium.

Prior to the game, the Monarchs honored their senior class for their dedication and contributions to the program.

King's came out firing in the opening quarter, scoring three straight goals to take early control. Braydon Buckingham opened the scoring, followed by tallies from Connor Walsh and Ryan Lynch to give the Monarchs a 3–0 advantage.

The Monarchs carried that momentum into the second quarter, as Miles Wilson struck early to extend the lead to 4–1. After a Manhattanville response, Ryan Lynch found the back of the net again to make it 5–1. The Valiants answered once more, but King's closed the half strong when EJ Schreiner scored with 1:08 remaining to send the Monarchs into the break with a 6–2 lead.

Manhattanville began to chip away in the third quarter, scoring the opening goal of the half before Ryan Lynch responded with a man-up goal to push the lead to 7–3. The Valiants continued to battle back with two straight goals to cut the deficit to 7–5, but Wilson answered with his second goal of the game to give King's an 8–5 edge heading into the final period.

The Valiants completed the comeback in the fourth quarter, opening the frame with three consecutive goals to even the score at 8–8. King's regained the lead with 4:02 remaining as Brenden Lynch delivered a clutch goal to make it 9–8, but Manhattanville responded with two late goals in the final minutes to secure the 10–9 victory.

Ryan Lynch led the Monarchs with three goals, while Miles Wilson added two goals. Buckingham, Walsh, Schreiner, and Brenden Lynch each scored once in the balanced offensive effort. Helpers came from Schreiner, Walsh, Buckingham, Wilson, and Erik Matulevicius. Ryan Rickards stopped 8 shots in the cage for the Monarchs.

Despite controlling much of the game early, King's was unable to hold off Manhattanville's late surge in a tightly contested matchup.

King's will look to bounce back in its next outing as the Monarchs open MAC Freedom play when Stevens comes to town on Wednesday, April 1 at 7:00 p.m..
