SCRANTON, PA (March 4, 2026) — The King's College women's lacrosse team fell on the road Wednesday evening, dropping an 18–3 decision to Marywood University.
Marywood controlled the pace from the opening draw, scoring nine first-quarter goals to take an early 9–1 lead. Sydney Stratton got King's on the board midway through the first off an assist from Brooke Harmonosky, but the Pacers continued to build momentum into the second quarter, extending the advantage to 14–1 at halftime.
King's showed improved play coming out of the break, scoring twice in the third quarter. Emilee Schultz found the net twice in the frame, first on a feed from Sarah Schultz and later off Harmonosky's second assist of the game to make the score 15–3.
Marywood added two goals in the fourth quarter to account for the 18–3 final.
Emilee Schultz led the Monarch offense with two goals, while Stratton added one. Harmonosky recorded two assists and Sarah Schultz added one helper. Defensively, Alyssa Reeber made 16 saves in goal while adding four ground balls.
Marywood held advantages in shots (53–5), ground balls (39–15), and draw controls (21–2), which helped the Pacers maintain possession throughout the contest.
King's will look to regroup in its next outing as the Monarchs continue their early-season schedule when they travel to Hood on Saturday March 7 at 1:00 p.m.
