Women's Lacrosse Suffers Road Loss at Hood

FREDERICK, MD (March 7, 2026) -- The King's College women's lacrosse team dropped a non-conference matchup on the road Saturday, falling 16-2 to Hood College in Frederick, Md.

Hood controlled the game from the opening draw, scoring seven goals in the first quarter to take an early 7-0 lead. The Blazers continued to build their advantage in the second period with five more goals, carrying a 12-0 lead into halftime.

King's looked to regroup after the break and broke through in the third quarter when Sydney Stratton found the back of the net for the Monarchs' first goal of the afternoon. Hood responded with three goals in the period to extend its lead to 15-1 heading into the final quarter.

The Monarchs added one more in the fourth quarter as Emilee Schultz scored, with assists coming from Emily Kane and Sarah Schultz on the afternoon. Hood closed the scoring late to secure the 16-2 victory.

King's finished with six shots and 12 ground balls in the contest, while goalkeeper Alyssa Reeber made 17 saves in net for the Monarchs. Stratton also led the team in draw controls with four.

The Monarchs will look to bounce back in their next contest as they continue their non-conference schedule when they take on Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC on Tuesday March 10 at 2:00 p.m..
