Men's Volleyball Battles, Falls at Arcadia

GLENSIDE, PA (March 6, 2026) — The King's College men's volleyball team fell in MAC Freedom action Friday evening, dropping a straight-set decision to Arcadia University inside Alumni Gymnasium.

The Monarchs (7-11, 0-2 MAC Freedom) battled throughout the match but ultimately fell by set scores of 25-19, 27-25, and 25-18 as the Knights used an efficient offensive performance to secure the conference victory.

King's kept the opening set tight early, trading points with Arcadia through several lead changes before the Knights pulled away late with a short run to claim the 25-19 win. The Monarchs responded with their strongest offensive effort in the second set, hitting .333 and pushing the frame deep into extra points. King's held multiple opportunities late before Arcadia capitalized to take the set 27-25 and move ahead 2-0 in the match.

Arcadia maintained momentum in the third set, jumping out to an early lead while hitting .536 in the frame. King's worked to chip away at the deficit but could not close the gap as the Knights sealed the match with a 25-18 win.

Logan Place led the Monarchs offensively with 12 kills while hitting an efficient .500. Alex Martellacci added 10 kills and a block, while Greg Bousquet contributed five kills, two blocks, and a team-high five digs. Logan Aikens posted four kills and five block assists at the net.

Ben Maskiell directed the offense with 24 assists and added six digs, while Aiden Glasgow added four digs while Mason Lesher had four. As a team, King's finished with 34 kills and hit .244 in the match.

The Monarchs will look to bounce back in MAC Freedom play in their next contest against Messiah on Wednesday March 18 at 7:00 p.m..
