WILKES-BARRE, PA (April 11, 2026) — The King's College women's lacrosse team fell at home Saturday afternoon, dropping a 15-8 decision to FDU-Florham in MAC Freedom action at McCarthy Stadium.
FDU-Florham took control early, building an 8-3 lead by the end of the first quarter behind a strong offensive push with the Monarchs' goals coming from Brooke Harmonosky and two from Sarah Schultz. King's responded with a more balanced effort in the second, finding rhythm on the offensive end and cutting into the deficit. The Monarchs outscored the Devils 2-3 in the frame thanks to two Emilee Schultz tallies and one one from Sarah, but trailed10-6 at halftime.
King's continued to battle coming out of the break, but the Devils were able to create separation in the third quarter, outscoring the Monarchs 4-1 to extend the lead to 14-7 heading into the final period. The Monarchs' lone goal came from Sydney Stratton off a feed from Emilee Schultz.
The Monarchs showed resilience in the fourth quarter, with Stratton adding another goal while tightening up defensively, but FDU-Florham added one more to close out the 15-8 final.
The Schultz twins led the Monarchs offensively with five points each on three goals and two assists from Sarah and two goals and three assists from Emilee. Sydney Stratton (2) and Brooke Harmonosky also found the back of the net in the loss, with Harmonosky picking up a helper as well.
Defensively, Alyssa Reeber turned in a strong performance in goal, making a season-high 19 saves while facing 42 shots from the Devils offense.
King's will look to regroup as they continue conference play on the road at Arcadia on Wednesday, April 15 at 4:00 p.m.
