HOBOKEN, NJ (April 16, 2026) -- The King's College baseball team went toe‑to‑toe with Stevens Institute of Technology on the road Wednesday night but slipped late in an 11-10 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom loss at Dobbelaar Field. The Monarchs (6-19 overall, 1-14 MAC Freedom) launched three home runs - including a pair from
Joshua Quinones -Â and held multiple leads before the Ducks (19-13 overall, 8-7 MAC Freedom) pulled ahead late.

Stevens struck first with two runs in the bottom of the first, but King's answered immediately with a power‑filled second inning.
Zach Jenkins got the hit parade started with a homer to right‑center to put the Monarchs on the board. The longball marked the first of the season for Jenkins and his second as a Monarch.
Kevin Kullman kept the rally going with a stand-up double to the gap in left center that rolled to the fence, setting the stage for Quinones. The shortstop unleashed a two-run home run that hugged the right field pole, giving King's a 3-2 lead.

The Ducks responded with two solo home runs in the bottom of the second to regain a 4-3 advantage, but the Monarchs remained steady at the plate. In the top of the fifth,
Owen Kosar delivered a bases-loaded RBI groundout to tie the game at 4-4. Stevens answered with a two‑run bottom half to move back in front, 6-4.

King's surged again in the sixth. After Kullman opened the inning reaching on a dribbler down the third base line, Quinones turned on a pitch and drove a two‑run home run to right‑center, erasing the deficit and tying the game at 6-6. The Monarchs kept the pressure on in the inning, as
Owen Kosar followed with an RBI single to bring home

Jaiden Wanamaker added an RBI double that split the outfielders, pushing King's ahead by a pair.

The Monarchs extended the advantage in the seventh when Jenkins singled and later scored on Kullman launched a two‑run home run down the right‑field line, giving King's a 10-6 lead and their largest cushion of the game.

Stevens chipped away with a run in the seventh and then mounted a decisive rally in the bottom of the eighth, scoring four runs to reclaim the lead at 11-10. King's threatened in the ninth but was unable to push across the tying run as the Ducks closed out the contest.

King's leaned on four pitchers across the nine innings, with
Noah Gesford opening the game before
Alexander Breitfeller delivered 4.2 important innings in relief and recorded three strikeouts to keep the contest tight through the middle frames.
Jacob DiCicco took over late as Stevens broke through in the eighth, while the Monarchs also turned a double play and recorded several timely outs to prevent further damage earlier in the game.

At the plate, the Monarchs finished with 15 hits and three home runs, matching Stevens swing for swing throughout the night. Quinones powered the lineup with a two‑homer, four‑RBI performance. Kullman added three hits and a two‑run blast, while Jenkins contributed a solo home run while scoring twice. Kosar chipped in three hits and two RBI.

The Monarchs and Ducks conclude their MAC Freedom series on Saturday with a doubleheader at Lipo Field. Prior to first pitch, King's will honor the 10 graduating members of the program with a Senior Day ceremony. First pitch in Game 1 is slated for 12:00 p.m.
