DALLAS, PA (April 21, 2026) — The King's College women's lacrosse team fell on the road to Misericordia University, 23–6, Tuesday evening in MAC Freedom play.
Misericordia struck first just under two minutes into the contest and quickly built momentum with a 6–1 run in the opening quarter. Sydney Stratton provided the lone Monarch highlight of the frame, scoring unassisted at the 11:18 mark to briefly cut the deficit to 2–1 before the Cougars closed the period strong.
The Monarchs found some offensive rhythm in the second quarter, opening the frame with an unassisted goal from Brooke Harmonosky to make it 6–2. After Misericordia answered, King's responded with back-to-back man-up goals from Stratton, one assisted by Chelsea Lee and the other by Harmonosky, to trim the margin to 8–4 midway through the period.
However, the Cougars seized control late in the half, rattling off six unanswered goals over the final five minutes to take a 14–4 lead into halftime.
Misericordia continued its run into the third quarter, scoring six more times while holding King's scoreless to extend the advantage to 20–4 heading into the final frame.
In the fourth, the Monarchs broke through at the 10:39 mark as Emilee Schultz finished a feed from Sarah Schultz to make it 20–5. Emily Kane later added an unassisted goal with 5:22 remaining, but Misericordia answered with three goals down the stretch to secure the 23–6 final.
Stratton led the Monarch offense with a hat trick, while Harmonosky added a goal and an assist. Emilee Schultz and Kane each scored once, and Lee and Sarah Schultz recorded assists.
In goal, Alyssa Reeber made 14 saves over 60 minutes of action.
Misericordia held advantages in shots (52–12), ground balls (25–11), and draw controls (23–7), controlling possession throughout the contest.
King's will look to bounce back in its next outing as the Monarchs return home to host Delaware Valley on Thursday, April 23 for their season finale.
