Lynch Scores Five in Final Home Game vs Misericordia

WILKES-BARRE, PA (April 22, 2026) — The King's College men's lacrosse team fell to Misericordia University, 18–12, Wednesday evening in MAC Freedom action in their home finale at McCarthy Stadium.

Misericordia jumped out to an early lead, scoring the game's first two goals before Braydon Buckingham got the Monarchs on the board with an unassisted strike at the 6:14 mark. The Cougars responded with three straight goals to close the quarter and take a 5–1 lead after one.

King's showed life in the second quarter, opening with an unassisted goal from Miles Wilson before Ryan Lynch and Connor Walsh connected to trim the deficit to 5–3. After Misericordia answered with three consecutive goals, the Monarchs responded with a 3–0 run of their own. Brenden Lynch scored a nasty behind-the-back goal off a feed from Wilson, EJ Schreiner added an unassisted tally, and Ryan Lynch converted a man-up opportunity from Walsh to make it 10–6 heading into halftime.

The Cougars seized control in the third quarter, outscoring King's 8–1 in the frame. Schreiner scored the lone Monarch goal of the period, finishing a pass from Ryan Lynch to briefly cut the margin to 14–7 before Misericordia closed the quarter with a flurry to extend the lead to 18–7.

King's mounted a late push in the fourth, holding Misericordia scoreless while scoring five times. Connor Walsh opened the quarter with a goal off an assist from Schreiner, and Schreiner added another unassisted tally to make it 18–9. Ryan Lynch then took over offensively, scoring three straight goals, including two assisted by Brenden Lynch and one from Walsh, to cap the scoring at 18–12.

Ryan Lynch led the Monarch offense with five goals and an assist, while Schreiner added a hat trick and an assist. Walsh tallied a goal and three assists, and Brenden Lynch chipped in a goal and two assists. Wilson and Buckingham each added a goal, with Wilson also recording an assist.

In goal, Ryan Rickards made 14 saves over 60 minutes of action.

Misericordia held advantages in ground balls (42–31) and faceoffs (24–10), controlling possession throughout the contest.

King's will look to bounce back in their season finale at Delaware Valley on Saturday April 25 at 1 p.m..
