WILKES-BARRE, PA (June 30, 2026) -- The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) continued its unveiling of the 2026 Academic All-MAC teams Tuesday morning, with King's College student-athlete Thomas Soucy named to the Men's Ice Hockey Academic All-MAC Team.

A total of 10 men's ice hockey student-athletes from across the MAC were recognized for their academic and athletic excellence. The MAC sports information directors nominate and vote for the Academic All-MAC teams, giving 50 percent weight to both academic success and athletic success. A student-athlete must have a spring semester grade-point average (GPA) of 3.20 or higher to be eligible for the award.

Soucy earns his first Academic All-MAC honor following a breakout sophomore campaign in which he appeared in all 25 games, leading the Monarchs with 12 goals and 10 assists for 22 points. The Degelis, Quebec native was named an All-MAC Honorable Mention and selected to the MAC Winter All-Sportsmanship Team. He ranked among the conference leaders, finishing tied for sixth in goals, tied for 16th in assists, and tied for 13th in points. Soucy also tied for eighth in the conference with four power-play goals and led the MAC with two shorthanded goals. The forward recorded seven multi-point games during the 2025-26 season - including four multi-goal performances - and posted a career-high three points in a win over Lebanon Valley.

A sports management major, Soucy also excelled in the classroom, posting a 3.53 GPA during the spring semester.
