WILKES-BARRE, PA. (SEPTEMBER 12, 2026) -- The King's College women's soccer team earned its second win of the season on Saturday, defeating Elmira College, 1-0, at McCarthy Stadium. With the victory, the Monarchs improve to 2-3-0 on the season, and the Soaring Eagles of Elmira College drop to 0-4-0 with the loss.

King's struck early, as Isabella Pacia found the back of the net in the 11th minute to give the Monarchs the lead. Pacia's shot deflected off the top of the crossbar before finding the back left corner of the net, giving King's a 1-0 advantage.

Goalkeeper Courtney Monard made her third start of the season and recorded her first shutout of the year with five saves. The clean sheet marked back-to-back shutouts for the Monarchs.

Elmira held a 9-6 advantage in shots and put five attempts on target, but Monard turned aside each chance. King's registered three shots on goal, with Elmira goalkeeper made two saves. The Monarchs also earned one corner kick compared to five for the Soaring Eagles.

King's returns to action at home on Wednesday night, hosting Lycoming College at 4:00 p.m.
