WILKES-BARRE, PA (September 25, 2026) -- The King's College women's volleyball team celebrated Senior Night in impressive fashion on Friday evening, earning a straight-set victory over Keystone College inside McGrane Gymnasium. The Monarchs controlled the match from the opening serve and never looked back, posting set scores of 25-11, 25-21, and 25-20 to secure the 3-0 win and improve to 9-3 on the season. Across the net, the Giants fall to 2-12 overall.
 
Prior to the match, King's honored seniors Jessica Menze, Lindsay Arezina, and Emma Bolich during a pregame Senior Night ceremony. The trio helped lead the Monarchs to another strong performance as King's hit .244 as a team while holding the Giants to a .000 attack percentage.
 
King's established control immediately in the opening set. Behind strong serving from Weronika Malinowski and Arezina and a balanced offensive attack, the Monarchs raced out to an early advantage and never allowed Keystone to gain momentum. Malinowski helped spark the early run from the service line, while Arezina and Bolich keyed the offense at the net. King's posted 12 kills while limiting the Giants to a negative hitting percentage on the way to a convincing 25-11 set victory.
 
The second set proved more competitive as Keystone battled to stay within striking distance. The two teams traded points through much of the frame before the Monarchs found separation late. Key kills from Arezina, Bella Boylan, and Malinowski helped King's gain control down the stretch, while Ariela Towsey distributed the offense to keep the Giants off balance. The Monarchs closed out a 25-21 win to take a commanding 2-0 lead in the match.
 
Looking to complete the sweep, King's carried its momentum into the third set. The Monarchs continued to receive contributions throughout the lineup, with Towsey and Soyer DeLucy directing the attack and Riley McArdle leading the defensive effort in the back row. Menze provided a boost offensively, while Bolich continued to make her presence felt at the net. Although the Giants remained close for much of the set, King's steadily pulled away during the final stages. A late push from the Monarchs secured the 25-20 victory and capped off the Senior Night sweep.
 
Arezina led the Monarchs offensively with a match-high nine kills and three service aces, while Malinowski added six kills, four aces, six digs, and three solo blocks. Boylan added five kills, and Menze recorded three kills on a .500 hitting percentage. Towsey finished with a team-high 17 assists and four digs, while DeLucy added 10 assists. Defensively, McArdle paced all players with 13 digs, and Bolich totaled two kills, three digs, one ace, and three solo blocks.
 
The Monarchs return to action on Tuesday, September 29 when they travel to Lebanon Valley College for a Middle Atlantic Conference battle. First serve against the Flying Dutchmen is slated for 7:00 p.m.
