KINGS WOMENS TENNIS IMPROVES TO 9-2 WITH VICTORY OVER MANHATTANVILLE

PURCHASE, NY - - The King's College women's tennis team remained unbeaten in league play, as the Lady Monarchs posted a 8-1 victory over host Manhattanville College at Purchase on Saturday.

King's improved to 8-2 overall with a 9-0 Freedom Conference mark while Manhattanville dropped to 2-6 overall record and a 1-3 conference mark.

King's opened up a 3-0 lead after sweeping the doubles competition. The Lady Monarchs then captured the victory by winning five of the six singles contest. Jillian Tallarico, Courtnay Wilson, Christy Rossowski, Maria Cometa and Lauren Breen were all winners in both doubles and singles.  Rachel Hoffnagle added a singles triumph to aid the Lady Monarchs cause.

King's returns to action for its last regular season home match against cross-town rival Wilkes University for a 4:00 p.m. at Kirby Park.
