KING'S WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY FINISHES SEVENTH AT MAC CHAMPIONSHIPS

DOYLESTOWN, PA -- The King's College women's cross country team finished seventh at the 2010 Middle Atlantic Conference Championships on Saturday afternoon held on the campus of Delaware Valley College. The Lady Monarchs took seventh out of the 14 team field, with 128 total runners participating in the event.

Shannon McGowan led the Lady Monarchs with a 25th place finish at 24:28.53. Tori Posatko followed in 31st at 24:39.13. Molly Brown finished 41st at 25:05.22, Heather Elphick came in 57th at 26:26.23, and Jill O'Malley crossed the tape at 26:37.05 for the 59th spot.

Other notable finishes for King's were Kirstie Nicol (67th/26:59.19), Hanna Bestwick (101st/29:14.19), Madeline Schiminger (108th/29:55.50), and Hannah Eckles (122nd/33:47.83).

King's will return to action Saturday, November 13th when they competed at the NCAA Mideast Regional Championships held in Pittsburgh, Pa.
