Women's Cross Country Gears Up for Saturday's MAC Championships

NEWTOWN, PA (October 29, 2025)—Ahead of the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Women's Cross Country Championships on Saturday, the conference office released their Pre-Championship Coaches' poll on Wednesday. The Monarchs were slotted to finish 13th with 65 points, just ahead of Alvernia and behind Delaware Valley. This year's meet will be held by Delaware Valley University on the Delaware Valley Cross Country Course.

The men's 8,000-meter race will kick off the day at 11:00 a.m., followed by the women's 6,000-meter race at 12:00 p.m. The day will conclude with the awards ceremony at 1:15 p.m.
Parking for buses and spectator vehicles will be available on campus in Lot A (next to the football stadium). Handicap and accessible parking will be located in Lot E. There is a $5 parking fee per car for spectators.

A limited amount of merchandise will be available for purchase on site while supplies last. Fans can also order apparel online at Men's Champion Gear and Women's Champion Gear.
Directions, parking information, and course maps are available on the Championship Central page. Live results will be provided by Pioneer Timing, with final results, photos, and video interviews posted on the championship central page following the event.

In this year's Pre-Championship Coaches' Poll, King's women's cross country was slated to finish 13th with 65 total points. Misericordia claimed the top spot with 219 points and 10 of the 16 first-place votes. Lebanon Valley took second with 214 points and the remaining 6 first-place votes, while host Messiah rounded out the top three with 192 points. Stevens secured fourth with 173 points.

King's looks to junior Cecilia Chipriano to lead the way in this year's championship, building on a strong season. She ran a season-best in her last race at the Aubrey Shenk Invitational, completing the 6,000 meter course with a time of 25:31.2.

The Aubrey Shenk Invitational was a big day on the course for the Monarchs as four runners claimed a personal best time. Evelyn Sahd (26:23.2), Katherine Smith (26:23.2) Mara Ryan (27:26.3), Sarah Hartzell (27:33.4) all posted the best times of their career last weekend and are looking to do the same this weekend at Delaware Valley.
