LADY MONARCH SOFTBALL AT SALISBURY UNIVERSITY, VIEW LIVE STATS
Salisbury, MD - - The King's College softball team will be competing in the Sea Gull Invitational Tournament at Salisbury University on Friday and Saturday. The Lady Monarchs will be taking on Capital University in a non-conference doubleheader on Friday at 10:00 p.m. They will then play two more games on Saturday, facing Denison University at 11:00 a.m. while going up against host Salisbury University at 3:00 p.m.

King's enters the Tournament with a 3-3 overall record in their spring training trip to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. On the last day of the trip March 9, the Lady Monarchs picked up a split, posting a 12-2 victory in six innings over Averett University, before dropping a tough 2-0 decision to Gordon College.
Senior Christie Parfitt leads the team offensively with a .538 (7-13) average with two doubles and three RBI. Senior Lindsey Hoerner follows with a .385 (5-13) average with five doubles, one triple and six RBI, while having a 3-2 record in the circle recording 24 strikeouts in 23.0 innings pitched. Junior Gretchen Tholen has a .381 (8-21) average with a double, a triple and six RBI. Senior Katie Fry hits .353 (6-17) with a double and five RBI. Senior Meaghan Galvin has a .333 (7-21) average with two doubles and six RBI.
The Lady Monarchs will continue this road stretch as they take on Keystone College on Tuesday for a 3:00 p.m. non-conference game.
