KING'S SOFTBALL POSTS 13-0 WIN OVER KEYSTONE
WILKES-BARRE – The King's College softball team erupted for six runs in the first inning and coasted to a 13-0 victory in five innings over Keystone College Wednesday at the Betzler Athletic Complex.
With the victory, the Lady Monarchs improved to 5-7 on the year.
Meghan Galvin was 2-for-3 and scored two runs while Katie Siegfried went 2-for-2 with two runs and four RBI. Christie Parfitt finished 2-for-4 with three RBI and a double while Katie Fry was 1-for-3 with two RBI.
Annie Erndl was 2-for-3 with a double and one RBI and was also the winning pitcher, allowing only four hits while striking out seven batters.
King's returns to action Saturday with a 1:00 p.m. doubleheader as the Lady Monarchs open their Freedom Conference schedule at Eastern University in St. David's.
