LADY MONARCH HOSTING DELAWARE VALLEY, VIEW LIVESTATS

 

WILKES-BARRE - - The King's College softball team will host Delaware Valley College in conference action on Saturday. With the first pitch slated for 1:00 p.m. The team is also selling Breast Cancer awareness tee-shirts before the game for $10.00 per-shirt.

King's owns a 9-9 overall record while holding a 4-2 Freedom Conference mark entering today's conference home opening game after picking up a doubleheader victory over Misericordia University on Tuesday.

 

Senior pitcher Lindsey Horner who is 7-4 with a 2.29 ERA and 60 strikeouts in 70.1 innings, while also batting a team-high .375 (18-48) with three home runs, three doubles, one triple and 12 RBI. Junior third-baseman Gretchen Tholen stands at .360 (18-50) with four doubles, two triples and nine RBI. Senior shortstop Meaghan Galvin chips in at .349 (22-63) with two doubles and 13 RBI. Freshman outfielder Kaitlin Siegfried adds a .333 (18-54) with four doubles, two home runs and 15 RBI.

 

Delaware Valley enters today's game with a 9-8 overall record and a 3-3 mark in the Freedom Conference after a doubleheader win over Eastern on Tuesday.

 

Bethany Pavlik tops the squad with a .388 (19-49) average with two doubles, one home run and 14 RBI. Allison Tomasino follows with a .356 (16-45) average with two doubles, one triple and five RBI. Sarah Lazar has a .333 (13-39) average with one double, one home run and eight RBI. Keri Hardiman bats .286 (12-42) with three doubles and 10 RBI, while also going 2-0 in the circle striking out six in 9.1 innings for a 0.75 ERA.

 

The Lady Monarchs will now travel to Oneonta, NY on Tuesday to take on SUNY Oneonta in non-conference action at 3:30 p.m.
