DOYELSTOWN, PA – The King's College women's cross country team finished 11th in the Delaware Valley College Cross Country Invitational Saturday afternoon.
The King's women finished 11th in the 18-team field, while the Monarch men were 11th among 22 teams.
For the women, senior Tori Posatko was 21st in a field of 195 with a time of 25:31.7. Molly Brown finished 35th at 26:06.5, while Heather Elphick came in 61st with a time of 27:21.1. Jill O'Malley crossed the finish line in 124th at 29:51.8; Maddie Schiminger was 138th at 31:20.3; Hannah Bestwick was 149th at 32:05.1; while Hannah Eckles timed out at 37:49.3 to place 189th.
For the men, freshman Brent Lewandowski was 64th in a field of 208 with a time of 30:36.1. Greg Kelly was 67th at 30:46.7, while Jeff Cort placed 91st with a time of 31:23.4. Brandon Sweeney reached the tape at 31:35.5, good for 96th place, while Robert MacNeal and Dan Byrne crossed the finished line in the 106th and 107th spot respectively. MacNeal posted a time of 31:55.6, while Byrne came in at 32:00. Ryan Glenn finished 1111th at 32:04.6, Nicholas Jallat finished 128th at 32:56.9, and Patrick Gramling took 137th place with a time of 33:28.2. Rounding out the Monarchs runners were Vincent Battipaglia (148th/34:09), Rob Santopietro (169th/36:26.3), Chris Tobias (187th/39:11.6), Eric Grego (192nd/40:14.9), Gary Schemel (194th/40:27) and Steven Gerencser (199th/44:04.4).
