KING'S WOMEN'S TENNIS FALLS TO MISERICORDIA, 7-2
KINGSTON – Misericordia University swept all three doubles contests, then followed by winning four of the six singles bouts as the Cougars posted a 7-2 Freedom Conference women's tennis victory over King's College Saturday at the Kingston Indoor Tennis Center.
With the win, Misericordia improved to 7-5 overall and 1-0 in league play. King's, meanwhile, fell to 1-9 overall and 0-1 in conference matches.
King's winners included Rachel Hoffnagle in the number four singles spot. Hoffnagle posted a 6-1, 7-5 triumph over Courtney Otto. Jen Bader was also a winner at the sixth singles position with a 6-1, 6-2 triumph over Ellyn Wingert.
King's returns to action Tuesday with a 3:30 home matchup against Albright College at Kirby Park.
