Lady Monarch Tennis Drops 6-3 Decision to Alvernia

KING'S WOMEN'S TENNIS FALLS TO ALVERNIA, 6-3
 
WILKES-BARRE -- The Alvernia University women's tennis team won all three doubles matches, then split six singles contests to post a 6-3 victory over host King's College Sunday at Kirby Park.

With the win Alvernia improved to 3-6 while King's slipped to 2-11.

The teams played on even terms for most of the match, but Alvernia was able to pull out each of three close matches that ultimately decided the outcome. In doubles, Alvernia posted 9-7 wins at the number two and three doubles spots while earning victory in the only three-set match of the day.

King's received singles victories from Rachel Hoffnagle, Maria Cometa, and Nicole Molino.
